WWE is reportedly trying to sign a major Bellator MMA star to their NXT 2.0 developmental roster, namely, Valerie Loureda.

Fightful Select recently confirmed that the mixed martial artist was on the company’s radar, writing: “Fightful has learned that Bellator MMA star Valerie Loureda is expected to be signed by WWE, if she hasn’t already.

“We were told by WWE sources that Loureda made a great impression recently, and seemed like a ‘slam dunk’ to end up in the company” Fightful added.

“The last we’d heard, the signing wasn’t official as of yet, but they hoped to have her signed and able to report to the WWE Performance Center by mid-July.

“Loureda has been training with Gangrel, Neilo Costa and others since WrestleMania, and then did a week-long tryout at the WWE’s Performance Center recently.

“She was seen around NXT talent along the way, and we’re told by multiple people at the Performance Center that they heard she did very well” Fightful concluded.

Bringing in Valerie Loureda would certainly be a big move for the company, as she has a huge social media following. As of writing, the fighter has over 900,000 followers on Instagram.
