WWE has finally reached an agreement with Twitch to allow their talent back on the platform in a dramatic U-turn this week.

The company restricted its talent from streaming on third-party platforms back in 2020. This led to a lot of frustrations within the locker room. The officials were also ridiculed by the fans for this decision.

The promotion then held a backstage meeting in April 2022 and told talents that they will be allowed to stream on the third-party platform once again. The company however took longer than expected to get the deal in place for the same.

A new report from Fightful claims that WWE has finally reached an agreement with Twitch to allow wrestlers back on the platform. The generated revenue will be split three ways between the talents and the two companies:

“Fightful Select has learned that WWE and Twitch reached an agreement to allow WWE wrestlers back on twitch with almost no restrictions. Those we spoke to said that the revenue will be a three-way split that Twitch and the talent take the vast majority of.”

The report expanded on the no restriction policy revealing that talent will need to take permission to stream with people from other companies:

‘Almost’ no restrictions was outlined to us as not permitting talent to stream with people from other companies unless it’s cleared first. Talent that we spoke to were very happy about the deal.”
