WWE Superstar Zelina Vega made her WWE return on this week’s episode of SmackDown. Vega was announced as a surprise entrant into the Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder match by Sonya Deville on Friday night.
Zelina Vega was released from WWE back in 2020, following a public dispute regarding WWE’s policy with third party services such as Twitch.
The ‘final straw’ for WWE came when Vega started her own OnlyFans page, which did not contain sexual content, but the site is most known for adult material and this was massively frowned upon by the company.
Zelina Vega on WWE return
Zelina Vega issued a statement on social media following her return to WWE, saying “What to take from tonight: I’m back. I’m going to be in the MITB ladder match. ..and I will win. Period. Everything else is irrelevant.”
The former NXT Superstar actually lost her first match back on WWE programming, losing to Liv Morgan via a distraction roll up. Vega will still however be heading to the MITB PPV event to challenge for the briefcase and a guaranteed title shot against the RAW, SmackDown or NXT Women’s Champion.
Vega’s husband Aleister Black/Tommy End was also released from the company last month, which prompted many to believe that the duo would be heading to All Elite Wrestling.
With Vega now reappearing on WWE programming, there’s a good chance that a new could be structured for Tommy End to make his return to RAW or SmackDown.
