WWE Champion Drew McIntyre will be returning to Monday Night RAW tonight on USA Network. The Champion will be going face to face with Goldberg just under a week before they meet at the Royal Rumble event.
Drew McIntyre has been filmed outside of the ThunderDome over the past few weeks. McIntyre was tested and confirmed as positive for COVID-19; leading him to film promo shots at his home to be aired on RAW.
With McIntyre now returning, it will be the first time that the Scottish Superstar goes face to face with Goldberg since their awkward encounter just a few weeks ago. Goldberg appeared at the end of WWE Legends Night. At Legends night he claimed that McIntyre was insulting the Legends and challenged him to a match at the Rumble.
What made the segment odd? Drew McIntyre hadn’t actually said anything. That’s because his promo got cut for time, and Goldberg appeared and recited his scripted lines anyway. This would cause McIntyre to ad-lib and say “it’ll be like fighting my dad.”
Goldberg then pushed McIntyre to the mat to end the broadcast.

Drew McIntyre took to Twitter today to write the following regarding tonight’s appearance. ‘I make my return on the last #WWERAW before the #RoyalRumble & @Goldberg will be in the house. All jokes aside, I defend my title against one of the most destructive forces in wrestling history & a man who doesn’t get paid by the hour. See you tomorrow, Billy.’
