Former WWE Superstar Tucker has been outwardly critical of WWE’s creative since he was released just a couple of weeks ago. Tucker was of course in a tag team with Otis, before the Mandy Rose storyline drove them apart.
“IMO and obviously I have a bad taste in my mouth but there is very little opportunity for talent to have any sense of agency over who they are and what happens on tv” Tucker said on Twitter.
“To me it’s this part of the creative process that is hurting the product the most currently;” the former Heavy Machinery tag team member continued.
Tucker on Creative
Also former WWE employee Jon Alba then asked Tucker if he feels the creative is damaged across RAW, SmackDown and NXT. “Personally no I didn’t find it to be any different most days” Tucker said. “I will say there a general sense of less stress on the 2 hour show but creatively I didn’t find a difference.”
Tucker finished by ripping into the Otis and Mandy Rose storyline in particular. Heading into WrestleMania 36, this was arguably one of the biggest ongoing and intriguing stories in WWE, however it completely tailed off without a true ending after the WWE Drat.
“Yeah or doing a story like Mandy and Otis for months with zero payoff” Tucker emphatically stated.
