WWE Superstar and sure-fire Hall of Famer John Cena has been filming a new HBO Max show that will be streaming as of next year. Director James Gunn revealed on an Instagram Q&A that the series will be available to view as of January 2022.
The Suicide Squad spin-off show Peacemaker has been in production over the past few months, and this was the reason that John Cena could not appear at WrestleMania 37 back in April.
Cena has been pretty busy in terms of major Hollywood releases over the past year. F9 will be coming out shortly as part of the behemoth Fast & Furious franchise and the new Suicide Squad movie will be arriving on August 6. That day will see the new film available on HBO Max and in Theaters.

Cena is known for his odd way of posting on Instagram, even going as far as to basically troll fans on occasion.
With Cena’s latest post, he seems to be trolling fans once again’¦.or he could be alluding to a close return to WWE. John Cena posted an image of the WWE logo, with no caption, and no logistical reason as to why he would be doing this in the first place.
The most logical step for a John Cena return would then be SummerSlam, which takes place in August. At present, the rumor mill is indicating that SummerSlam could be the ’˜return’ to live events for WWE, with Texas or Phoenix being the destination for the ’˜biggest party of the summer.’
