The Hardcore Legend and WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley recently discussed the Dark Side of The Ring documentary that focused on Brian Pillman.
‘I finally got the chance to watch the Pillman episodes of Dark Side of The Ring” Mick Foley began on Twitter. “My eyes were glued to the screen.”
“It hit me hard” Foley continued. “I dropped Brian off at the hotel he died in; and was his scheduled opponent for the PPV event he never made it to.’

Brian Pillman passed away on October 5th 1997. As Foley mentioned, that same night was the Badd Blood 1997 PPV. That PPV was headlined by the first ever WWE Hell In a Cell match between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker.
That night also saw Kane make his debut in WWE, and Foley’s character Mankind was due to wrestle Brian Pillman on that card.
