NXT EVOLVE Taping Confirmed, New Show Airing Soon

Last updated

WWE have reportedly taped and will be going ahead with the new NXT EVOLVE show in the coming months. Fightful Select recently confirmed that Gabe Sapolsky and Jeremy Borash are both heavily involved in the production; and that this is nothing like anything WWE has currently running on their programming.

The show was reportedly taped at a warehouse. This warehouse was briefly used as a ‘makeshift’ Performance Center during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The show apparently has a ‘fight’ feel to it. Josiah Williams was the host for the show, and several of the newer signings from last Summer were involved in the tapings. There was no live commentary, but this could be added post production.

Planning for the new show has been ongoing for at least the last two years. Fightful claimed that there have been various iterations of the show pitched and thrown around backstage. Several different names have been discussed for the new show, including ‘NXT Underground.’ The way in which the show will be aired has not been confirmed thus far, although it may well be a WWE Network exclusive.
