Original Plans for Mia Yim Debut on WWE SmackDown

It was recently reported that former NXT and IMPACT star Mia Yim would be heading to SmackDown. The Superstar formerly part of RETRIBUTION was meant to appear last week, according to Ringside News, but was eventually pulled.

Fightful Select then confirmed these reports and added what the original plans were for the former ‘Reckoning.’ The site said that Mia Yim was going to appear on the Throwback episode of SmackDown and begin a feud with Carmella.

These plans were changed as WWE had to cut the segment to add more of the Throwback segments on the show. Apparently, the Throwback concept was a FOX idea that WWE quickly accommodated.

Fightful also noted that time was added to Roman Reigns’ program on the show, but it wasn’t confirmed if this time directly affect Mia Yim’s delay and her SmackDown debut.

Currently, it’s not confirmed when Mia Yim will be making her official main roster debut away from the RETRIBUTION gimmick. It’s likely that she’ll be introduced in the next few weeks, potentially after WrestleMania Backlash.
