Sunday night saw ‘The Rated R Superstar’ Edge return to WWE for the first time since Backlash 2020. Although it was announced on WWE Backstage that Edge would be entering the Rumble in the #2 slot; he appeared at #1 in the Men’s Royal Rumble match and went on to win the match.
Edge now has the opportunity to ‘main event’ WrestleMania against either the WWE Champion or the Universal Champion. According to a recent report from F4Wonline.com, Roman Reigns will be the opponent for Edge at the WrestleMania event in Florida this April.

Edge appeared during this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, appearing during the opening segment to confront WWE Champion Drew McIntyre. Many believed that Edge would challenge and McIntyre at WrestleMania, leaving Daniel Bryan to take on WWE Champion Roman Reigns.
Dave Meltzer confirmed the news in F4W’s Daily Update. ‘Not sure when this will be officially announced; but Roman Reigns vs. Edge is the planned main event at WrestleMania,’ Meltzer confirmed. ‘The Bianca Belair match isn’t 100 percent right now.’
There’s a possibility that the match will be confirmed this Friday on SmackDown.
