WWE Superstar and SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks recently spoke to the Normal Not Normal podcast. The ‘Boss’ discussed a number of topics during the show, including how different her life has been with WWE staying in one location and filming at the ThunderDome.

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, WWE have had to record and air live shows either at the WWE Performance Center or at the ThunderDome. Although this has been challenging from a production standpoint? It has meant that WWE Superstars can rest for longer between shows.

‘I’m not just talking about in one state,’ Sasha Banks began, discussing the ‘usual’ WWE travel schedule. ‘I’m driving five or six hours to different states every single day. But we’re not just talking about driving, I’m talking about flying as well ’“ early in the morning ’“ and I’m talking about wrestling too.”

“I’m beating my body, jumping into a car, and driving five hours and getting to the hotel at maybe four in the morning” Sasha Banks continued. “Sleep in until 12, work out, get your food, and doing the exact same thing. That will beat up your body.’

It has not been confirmed if Sasha Banks will be defending her SmackDown Women’s Championship at Sunday’s Royal Rumble. The current favourite to win the Women’s Rumble match is Bianca Belair, who is then expected to challenge Banks for the Championship at WrestleMania.

If Banks is to defend her belt at the Rumble PPV it will likely be confirmed on Friday at SmackDown on FOX.
