WWE were previously hyping the return of WWE SmackDown Superstar Seth Rollins for tonight’s New Years Day episode of the show.
It now appears as though Rollins may not be appearing on the show tonight. Last week the WWE on FOX Twitter account released a promo revealing the return, however it was never promoted by the WWE website nor indeed WWE’s other social media channels.
The video that WWE on FOX promoted has now since been deleted. It’s also worth noting that Seth Rollins is not listed in WWE’s official preview for SmackDown tonight. Whilst Rollins could be returning as a ‘surprise’ there is a very good chance that the company would want to hype the return of such a statured member of the roster.

Seth Rollins left WWE programming following the Survivor Series PPV back in 2020. Rollins and Becky Lynch welcomed their first child into the world back at the start of December. Lynch and Rollins have both taken time off to spend with their newborn Roux.
