AEW President Tony Khan recently spoke to Sports Illustrated. The owner of the All Elite group discussed a number of topics during the interview, including WWE NXT now moving to Tuesday nights.
‘I’m always very excited for Dynamite every Wednesday” Tony Khan began. “And now there is more wrestling on TV every night of the week for people to watch.”
Tony Khan on NXT Moving Nights
“We’d love to have all people check out Dynamite on Wednesdays” Khan continued. “And we really want all fans to check out the show. That’s why we’re so open to working with other companies, which you’ve seen as we’ve agreed to collaborate with companies like New Japan Pro-Wrestling, AAA, Impact and the NWA.’
WWE’s NXT program will be moving nights as of next week. The show was going head-to-head every week with All Elite Wrestling on Wednesday. Fans have dubbed the ongoing battle for the Nielsen ratings as the ’˜Wednesday Night War,’ and it looks as though AEW ‘won’ the war.
Clearly, Tony Khan and the group at AEW have a lot to be happy with in terms of the first year plus of the company.
