WWE Considering Something ‘Scary’ For Men’s Royal Rumble 2021

Last updated

WWE will be hosting their annual Royal Rumble event this Sunday at the WWE ThunderDome. This show will be unlike any other Rumble in history, as it is the first without fans physically in attendance.

Last year’s Rumble took place just before the COVID-19 pandemic reached the United States, and aired in front of a packed crowd at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas. The Men’s Rumble match was notable as it saw Drew McIntyre eliminate Brock Lesnar and go on to win the match. WWE Legend Edge also made his shocking return during last year’s Men’s Rumble match.

Royal Rumble 2021

Twitter account WrestleVotes recently posted a note regarding the Men’s Royal Rumble match this Sunday. “Sorry for the lack of details here but still noteworthy IMO; had a brief conversation earlier with a source regarding the Men’s Royal Rumble match. They said quote: ‘There’s a finish that scares the death out of me. And it’s legitimately getting heavy consideration’ yikes.”

Whilst all speculation needs to be taken with a pinch of salt; WrestleVotes have in the past proved to have at least some knowledge of the backstage situation in WWE. It’s also worth noting that while WWE are based in the ThunderDome they have the ability to pre-tape certain elements of live shows, so the Rumble matches themselves could actually have some elements of pre-tape during the night.
