All Elite Wrestling star Adam Cole won the Owen Hart Cup Tournament during the AEW Double or Nothing 2022 PPV event.

Cole was considered one of the favourites to win the tournament from the outset, but there were question marks regarding the finals.

The former NXT Champion went toe-to-toe with fellow former NXT Champion Samoa Joe on the card, which on paper looked like a dream encounter.

Cole has in the past challenged for the AEW Championship, but this win is the biggest of his All Elite career thus far since joining the company back in 2021.

This is the first trophy/title that Cole has won since moving to the company, with his previous reign as NXT Champion being the last time that he held gold in his career.

It’s likely that the Undisputed Elite member will now go on to even bigger heights within All Elite Wrestling, potentially with a title shot down the line.

The full AEW Double or Nothing PPV card is available for fans to watch back in the United Kingdom and Europe via FITE TV.

The event is also available to watch back via the Bleacher Report app in the United States, and the replay costs $49.99.
