AEW has agreed on a new working relationship with a prominent Japanese pro wrestling company, and it is not NJPW.

AEW and DDT will be working together going forward, as revealed by the official English language DDT Twitter account.

“EW’s VP of Talent Relations Christopher Daniels has a message! @facdaniels AEW and DDT have come to an agreement to bring DDT’s wrestlers to the USA and he can’t wait to show the American audience the best of DDT!” the account revealed.

AEW and DDT working together

DDT are a promotion known predominately for their outlandish gimmick matches and concepts that have gone viral over the past few years.

One of the most well-known instances of this is the blow-up doll that has had matches with Kota Ibushi and Kenny Omega (and they’ve actually been pretty good).

It’s going to be interesting to see how All Elite and DDT work together going forward, and how the DDT performers will work in front of an American live audience.
