AEW President Tony Khan has confirmed the main event for the upcoming AEW Full Gear PPV event that takes place in November.
Speaking to Robbie Barstool on My Mom’s Basement, Khan revealed that we will be seeing the showdown between Kenny Omega and #1 contender to AEW Championship Adam ‘Hangman’ Page clash for the title.
“Last year [the AEW World Title eliminator tournament] culminated with Kenny and Hangman, which is very fitting because now as we go into Full Gear this year, Kenny is the champion and he’s facing Hangman,” Tony Khan revealed.
This is the most logical bout to have headline the show, as All Elite has done a great job of building this feud over the past year through the pandemic with the big title win for Hangman finally coming in front of a capacity crowd.
