AEW on-screen personality Mark Henry recently revealed the backstage reaction to the MJF and CM Punk promo segment from this week’s AEW Dynamite.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Henry revealed that the backstage reaction was massive to the promo segment. Several stars were at the monitor whilst MJF and Punk were on the show.
‘I’m sitting at the monitor. There are 30 wrestlers sitting around that area, and everybody is popping,’ Henry began. ‘If you’re popping wrestlers, you’ve done something in your life.
“You won. I had to get up, walk out to the crowd to feel it because that’s why people go to wrestling” Henry revealed.
“People go to wrestling because of how you feel, not because you just want to be entertained. There is true life, emotional investment. You want to feel it” Henry concluded.
