All Elite Wrestling Champion CM Punk made some explosive comments during the ALL OUT post-show media scrum, and it’s affecting morale.
According to a recent report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Punk’s comments caused huge issues with some names backstage.
“There’s some big heat already on CM Punk from his comments at the AEW post-show scrum.. A couple of talent were told that some very important names were pissed off and threatening to walk out over this” Sapp reported.
It is believed that Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks are the talents who were threatening to leave the company over Punk’s recent comments.
CM Punk Backstage Issues
Fightful Select also posted an update on the situation, saying that there is more names backstage who are not happy with the situation.
“Regardless of the situation, Fightful Select has already heard of several talent that are very upset with his comments” the site noted.
“We will also work to gain some stances from those who side with him on the matters. We’ve also been told that some media that wasn’t planning on attending the scrum were told that they really should attend it, before all of the drama unfolded” Fightful Select revealed, which was corroborated by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio this weekend.
We’ll have to wait and see if more comes out on the situation, as there is still a small amount of doubt that elements of this could be a work.
