AEW wrestler and former WWE Superstar CM Punk recently took a shot at WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg following the Revolution PPV event.

Speaking to the media following the event, CM Punk brought up his hero Bret Hart. Punk discussed how it should be Bret going to Saudi Arabia and getting paid millions for nostalgia matches, not Goldberg.

“I love Bret Hart. His career was cut short [by Goldberg], and it’s a god damn tragedy because there are people who go over to Saudi Arabia and get paid millions of dollars’¦ that should have been Bret” Punk noted.

There’s currently no note on what Punk’s next feud will be in the company, with Wardlow now seemingly going head to head with MJF.

Potentially, Punk could be in line for a shot at the AEW Championship, with his stellar win record in the company since his debut back in September 2021.

Whatever Punk will be part of is bound to be historic, as the Straight Edge star has been smashing it out of the park with his in-ring work and promo recently.

Punk could also potentially move into a programme with the likes of Jon Moxley or Bryan Danielson, who seemed to align themselves with William Regal at the Revolution PPV.
