Former WCW President Eric Bischoff recently slated All Elite Wrestling whilst comparing them to WWE in terms of size and being a competitor.
Speaking to Ryan Satin on his Out of Character podcast, Bischoff would claim that AEW are nowhere near competition for the biggest company on the planet.
“There is no competition. AEW is not competition, no matter how much Tony Khan wants to believe it is. It’s not” Bischoff would begin.
“We’re in the same business, Tony. That’s not the same thing as being in competition. [You’re] not taking market share, Tony. You’re just in the same business” Bischoff continued.
“It’s kind of like having a little mom-and-pop hamburger stand on the corner and saying that you’re in competition with Arby’s. You’re not” Bischoff concluded.

It is certainly true to state that AEW is not competition to WWE…yet. However, All Elite has been in business for a few years compared to the vice-like grip WWE has had on the industry since the death of WCW.
Could AEW get there? It would take an absolutely monumental change in the landscape as WWE is such a behemoth of a company now.
