Eric Bischoff has been a vocal critic of both WWE and AEW. The former WCW president has not been afraid to call out any issue he sees in the present era programming.
Just recently, the wrestling veteran had said that the promos and backstage segments in WWE ‘bore the sh*t out’ of him. Bischoff continued this discussion on his Strictly Business podcast (H/t Wrestlinginc) and elaborated his stand:
‘I f***ing cannot stand watching 80% of the interviews that I’m forced to sit through if I want to sit and watch the show,”
Eric Bischoff didn’t miss the chance to criticize AEW either. He claimed to have seen some ‘horrible sh**’ on Tony Khan’s promotion as well:
“AEW is no different. In fact, I’ve seen some horrible, horrible sh** on AEW. So the idea that they have the freedom and the talents involved like that’s somehow gonna guarantee or ensure quality, well, that sh** went out the window a long time ago because I’ve seen promos on AEW that I would never allow on a television show, ever.”
This isn’t the first time Eric Bischoff has expressed a negative opinion on AEW. He has spoken against the promotion multiple times. Earlier this month he had called their television ratings ‘flatter than piss on a plate.’
