BKFC News: Mike Perry makes big Conor McGregor claim

Last updated

BKFC star Mike Perry recently made a pretty big claim regarding Conor McGregor and their face-off following Perry’s last main event bout.

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship’s former UFC fighter ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry took a huge win at BKFC 41 in the main event against fellow former MMA fighter Luke Rockhold.

After the bout, Conor McGregor would enter the squared circle for a face-off with Perry, and ‘Platinum’ discussed this on The MMA Hour.

“I was already thinking, ’˜I have to live up to the expectations,'” Perry began, discussing the huge main event that he was part of.

“When Conor [McGregor] came, I was like, ’˜this is really an opportunity for me to live up to the expectations and do what everyone expects me to do” Perry added, noting that he was preparing to call out the Notorious Irish UFC megastar.

“It’s hard because you’re thinking, ’˜I need to focus and think on who’s gonna win this fight first,'” Perry revealed, noting that he had to defeat Rockhold first before even thinking about calling out Conor. “But then it’s like almost like a destiny, I definitely had God’s help” he added.

‘Conor McGregor gets me excited, and he’s still a little bit to go with the UFC. I hope he goes out there and beats [Michael] Chandler and then maybe a pay-per-view main event. We’re going to throw hands anyway” Perry claimed.

‘Absolutely, I do” the fighter noted when asked by Ariel Helwani if he wanted to face McGregor in a bare knuckle boxing contest.

“We were in the ring. He was ready to punch me right then, but it was my moment that night, and I got the last word, because when Conor left the ring, yeah, he had the belt, but I got my belt”. It’s platinum over gold, baby, and when he left the ring, they put the mic back in my face. So it was my night to shine. I got the last word.” Perry concluded.
