NXT 2.0 star Cora Jade recently made a shocking heel turn as she betrayed her tag-team partner, Roxxane Perez. Jade had started teaming up with Perez and had formed Team 2001. The duo even captured the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship from Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne at The Great American bash special on NXT 2.0. But that is all in the past and Jade has moved on. Jade threw the NXT Women’s Tag Team title in a trash can last week on NXT 2.0.
Cora Jade seemingly recruits a new bodyguard
Jade seemingly found a new partner at an NXT 2.0 live show this weekend. WWE held the live event in Cocoa, Florida. A photo from the event showed Jade sitting on the apron with Commander Azeez standing next to her. The two wrestled a mixed tag match against Ivy Nyle and Sanga and were unable to win.
It has been noted that Azeez also changed up his look in a huge way and it marks the fourth iteration for him. Azeez signed with the company in 2016 after playing football in the Polish American Football League and German Football League. He first debuted as Dabba Kato during the short-lived Raw Underground segments and then became Babatunde before transforming into Commander Azeez on the main roster.
