AEW Dynamite: The Crossroads has begun. The major card tonight just a few days away from AEW Revolution has some major bouts taking place on TNT. The opening match of the night saw NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal team up with Jade Cargill against Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet. Brandi Rhodes had originally been slated for this match until her pregnancy was confirmed weeks ago. Fans were intrigued to see how Shaq would perform in an AEW ring, especially with the smaller but more tenured Cody Rhodes.

Shaq looked extremely impressive early on in the match, with great footwork and showing some genuine in-ring skill. If Jade Cargill is able to tighten up her in-ring work too she could be a major, major player in AEW. Cargill has a fantastic look, charisma and already looks like she’s got a solid base to work from.

Shaq Attack

The finish came when Jade Cargill hit a big facebuster type move. Shaq and Jade were brilliant, what a match.
