UFC megastar Conor McGregor has expressed interest in purchasing Manchester United football club,. Man United were one of the clubs signed up to the much maligned European Super League concept, it has been confirmed that the club have now pulled out of the breakaway league.
Many fans of the club had been calling for club executiveÂ Ed WoodwardÂ to resign after the Red Devils were confirmed as one of the clubs part of the 12 team breakaway format. To many supporter’s delight, Woodward has now left his position with the club.
It is being touted that the owners of Man United, The Glaziers, are also looking to leave Manchester following the debacle that was the announcement of the planned European Super League.

Never one to shy away from controversy, Conor McGregor has said that he is considering buying one of the biggest clubs in world football. ‘Hey guys, I’m thinking about buying Manchester United! What do you think?’ McGregor posted to Twitter.
It’s likely that Conor McGregor is not really interested in buying into the club; but with a huge global fanbase and the drawing power of combat sport’s biggest property coming together? That could be a huge deal for all involved.
Conor McGregor is set to return to the octagon at UFC 264 to take on Dustin Poirier in their Trilogy fight. Nate Diaz is also to return to competition shortly, facing Leon Edwards at Welterweight for UFC 262: Oliveira vs Chandler.
The show will likely be on PPV in the United Kingdom, much like UFC 257.
