UFC President Dana White recently spoke to ESPN. White discussed a number of topics ahead of tonight’s UFC 259 card from Las Vegas, Nevada. There are three massive title fights on the 259 card, but later this month we will also see the UFC Heavyweight Championship on the line when Stipe Miocic defends against Francis Ngannou.
There have been rumours that Jon Jones would get the winner of that Heavyweight title fight later in the year. Dana White said in the interview with ESPN that he would ‘love’ to have ‘Bones’ Jones in attendance for Miocic vs Ngannou.
Dana White on Jon Jones
‘I haven’t heard from him,’ White said to ESPN. ‘But, obviously, if Jon Jones wanted to come to the fight, we’d love to have him.”
UFC 260 is currently scheduled to be taking place in Vegas, however Dana White wants to take the card to Texas where they would be able to host in front of a live crowd. ‘I want to go to Texas ASAP,’ White stated during the UFC 259 pre-fight press conference. ‘I’ll go in the next two, three weeks. I’m ready to roll. We’ll be first. We’ll open this thing up, we’ll sell it out and be on our way.’
There’s a strong possibility that Jon Jones appears at UFC 260 and confronts the winner of the main event inside the octagon.
