Former UFC Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier recently discussed the upcoming UFC 257 fight between Michael Chandler and Dan Hooker.
This will be Chandler’s debut fight for the UFC and it could potentially have massive implications on the Lightweight division. DC would state that the winner of the fight needs to call our Conor McGregor in their post-fight interview.
Daniel Cormier made the comments on the DC & Helwani podcast this week. “If I’m Dan Hooker and I win [the fight]? I’m immediately saying something about McGregor” Daniel Cormier would begin on the show. “Whoever wins at 155 pounds on that fight card? You say something about McGregor, because guess what? McGregor doesn’t have the ability to not respond!”

“He will say something back, because when he gets going? He just kind of says something, he’ll he’ll say something and elevate you” DC would continue. “I’m telling you, there’s a level of stardom that comes with fighting on [the same card] and with this dude that I’ve never seen.”
Daniel Cormier would finish by highlighting just how much of a difference fighting Conor McGregor made to Khabib’s career. “I mean, look at what happened to Khabib! Khabib went from from what, 2 million followers to like 12 overnight? It’s like, that’s crazy! So look, I’m calling McGregor out if I’m a Michael Chandler or a Dan Hooker.”
