Former Mixed Martial Artist Kenny Florian recently discussed the upcoming UFC bout between Dan Hooker and Michael Chandler. That bout will be part of UFC 257 McGregor vs Poirier 2, which takes place January 24th from UFC Fight Island.
“What is guaranteed is the fact that this fight is going to be ridiculous” Kenny Florian would begin on the Anik & Florian podcast. “Dan Hooker has been involved in what? His last five fights have been absolutely insane for the most part. He’s an exciting fighter.”

Florian would then praise Michael Chandler, who is making his UFC debut at the event after a successful Bellator career. “I think that Chandler, if you haven’t seen him fight? The guy always brings it. He’s always game, he’s an exciting fighter himself. Just from hearing Chandler? From seeing him fight? This is exactly the kind of fight that he wants.”
“This is the kind of introduction [to UFC] that you want to have” Kenny Florian would continue. “You want to basically establish yourself as an exciting fighter. But it’s not an easy ‘out’ for him at all. Hooker is dangerous, everywhere. He’s tall, he’s huge for the division. This is a barnburner man.”
