Brock Lesnar made his surprise return on the latest edition of Monday Night RAW. It came after Bray Wyatt made his highly-anticipated return at Extreme Rules. But he was not present on the red brand. He is assigned to SmackDown. But fans were not left disappointed as ‘The Beast Incarnate’ made his comeback.
Brock Lesnar return was important
WWE and the USA Network are very happy with the return of Lesnar, according to the Wrestling Observer’s Andrew Zarian on Twitter. Zarian wrote that ‘Lesnar returning on the show felt like a ’˜make good’ to many at USA’ for not having Wyatt appear live to capitalise on the post-Extreme Rules buzz.
Lesnar made an impactful return on RAW as he targetted Bobby Lashley and laid him down with multiple F-5s. WWE has Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia coming up and it seems the direction for that show is to have a match between Lesnar and Lashley. ‘The All Mighty’ dropped the WWE United States Championship against Seth Rollins following the vicious attack by Lesnar.
Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics revealed that the October 10th episode of WWE Raw, which also featured a D-Generation X celebration, drew 1,824,000 viewers, compared to the previous week’s 1,599,000 viewers.
