WWE star Rhea Ripley had secured a shot at Bianca Belair’s WWE RAW Women’s Championship but that plan had to be nixed. The two stars were booked for a title match at Money in the Bank. However, those plans were altered after it was announced that Ripley was medically unfit to compete at the upcoming premium live event. Belair confirmed the news about the injury on this week’s episode of RAW.
Rhea Ripley reveals she suffered brain injury
Ripley responded to an Instagram fan who said she didn’t look very injured. She revealed that she’s dealing with a possible brain injury. Her teeth needed fixed up.
“brain/teeth. Can’t see a brain injury. Stop being incompetent and reaching at nothing.”
The Nightmare had previously posted pictures of a metal wire holding her front teeth in place. Fans have speculated that the injury occurred on the June 6 episode of “Raw” where Ripley’s knee smashed into her own head after she took a DDT from Liv Morgan during a Fatal Four-Way to crown a No. 1 contender to Bianca Belair’s Raw Women’s Championship. Although Ripley won that bout, she hasn’t returned to in-ring action since that incident. Fans are eagerly waiting to witness ‘Nightmare’ make her return to the ring.
