WWE’s Royal Rumble event is the second biggest of the year for the company and arguably the most fun night in professional wrestling.

According to a recent leak/rumour, the event will be heading to a familiar city in the United States for the 2023 iteration of the show.

Brad Shepard revealed on his Patreon that an “insider” had claimed that the Alamo Dome in San Antonio, Texas will be hosting the event.

He noted: “A source in WWE confirmed San Antonio will host the Royal Rumble in 2023. The venue will be the Alamo Dome, which has a total capacity of 72,000.”

BS has been extremely hit and miss when it comes to leaks and rumours, so we’re going to be taking this one with a grain of salt. However, it’s worth noting to see if it’ll be revealed later this year.

Here are some of the other events that have been held at the iconic venue over the years:

  • Rumble – January 19, 1997
  • Nitro – February 2, 1998
  • Nitro – July 27, 1998
  • Rumble – January 29, 2017
