Edge is set to feature in a ‘dream’ match at the upcoming WWE SummerSlam 2021 PPV event in August against Seth Rollins, according to reports.
The Rated R Superstar has not been seen on WWE programming since his loss at WrestleMania 37 in the three-way against Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan.
This year’s SummerSlam card is being loaded as WWE want to make it the ‘WrestleMania of 2021.’ There are rumours that John Cena and Brock Lesnar will be participating as WWE looks to emerge from the difficult period in the best possible way.

With that in mind, the @WrestleVotes Twitter account are reporting that WWE want to have Edge take on Seth Rollins. This would be a first time ever match with two men who are very similar in style and character.
Rollins is currently a SmackDown Superstar, as is Edge, so this is a doable matchup from a storytelling standpoint. With Rollins having just beaten Cesaro, he will likely get the win in the final match between the two at Money In The Bank and then go on to face Edge in the upgraded Summerslam.

No matches have been officially confirmed yet; John Cena vs Roman Reigns is the current favorite to headline the show in Las Vegas. Brock Lesnar is also reportedly being lined up for a match, potentially against Bobby Lashley.
When is WWE Summerslam 2021?
WWE Summerslam is taking place on Saturday, August 21 from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
The stadium is predominantly the home of the Las Vegas Chargers in the NFL. It is a brand new arena – construction on the $1.9 Billion building was only completed in July 2020.
Capacity of the stadium, when full, is 65,000 fans.
After nearly 18 months without an audience, WWE is going all out to make this a special occasion and will be hopeful that as many of those seats can be occupied as possible.
