WWE Superstar Bayley is expected to be heading to NXT for a one-off appearance as part of the Tuesday night show head-to-head with AEW.
According to a source, Nikkita Lyons being shown on screen during Bayley’s entrance at Extreme Rules 2022 was a very deliberate move.
It’s expected that the former NXT Women’s Champion will be heading back to the show as a one-off due to her being ‘angry’ that an NXT Superstar was featured during her big Premium Live Event entrance.

It’s worth noting that having Bayley appear on NXT is apparently the plan right now, and things are liable to change in WWE day to day, sometimes even minute to minute.
Having the former Women’s Champion return to the brand for a one-off appearance would certainly make sense, as the company are extremely high on Nikkita Lyons and want to build her up further.
There are expected to be a number of different matches confirmed for the show, and Bayley vs Nikkita Lyons isn’t apparently ‘locked in’ at this point.
AEW will be going live on that Tuesday with a massive show, so NXT and Triple H in particular will be wanting to make sure that they stack the deck to try and win the night in viewership.
