WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar was originally rumoured to return at WWE Money in the Bank 2023, but why was that apparently changed?
According to a new report/rumour from WRKD Wrestling, it appears as though the plan was changed to ensure that his return wasn’t diminished by both Drew McIntyre and John Cena appearing.
“Plans had changed before Money In The Bank, with McIntyre and Cena returning, the thought process was that Brock’s return would be diminished after multiple other surprises in the evening. Brock has instead returned on #WWERaw” the account claimed on Twitter.

It’s worth noting that these rumours from WRKD Wrestling are just that, rumours, as we are unable to verify whether or not the report is legitimate at this time.
Bringing Lesnar back on RAW rather than MITB certainly made sense, as it would’ve felt far less important if he appeared to attack Cody during the event from the O2 Arena.
It’s likely that we will now see Cody vs Lesnar take place at SummerSlam in August.
