Former WWE Superstar and UFC Heavyweight Cain Velasquez has revealed that he will soon be making his return to the squared circle.

Appearing on In the Corner with Cyrus Fees, the former UFC Heavyweight Champion confirmed that he will be making a returning to AAA in Mexico.

‘I’m doing a show in December for AAA,’ Velasquez began. ‘To for me, I love AAA and I’m going to keep doing that right now.”

‘I love WWE as well, but I have to first develop myself in order for me to go out there” Cain Velasquez revealed. “I’m going to keep doing stuff and have fun with it.’

Cain Velasquez originally joined AAA back in 2019, where he signed a 3 match deal with the promotion. Velasquez made his first appearance at TripleMania XXVII, where he teamed with AEW EVP Cody and Psycho Clown to take on Black Taurus, Karrion Kross and Texano Jr.

Velasquez was critically lauded for his performance in the match, with the former Heavyweight Champion proving that he could perform the Lucha style.

Cain Velasquez also appeared at AAA’s Invading NY show in September of 2019, where he, Psycho Clown and Brian Cage defeated Taurus, Texano and Rey Escorpion.

Interestingly, AEW have a working relationship with the AAA brand, so there is a chance that we could see Velasquez appear on All Elite programming at some point, if his contract allows.

Velasquez was released from WWE back in April 2020, after only one television match against Brock Lesnar that only lasted 88 seconds.
