WWE commentator talks CM Punk potentially returning

A WWE commentator recently discussed the potential of CM Punk making his return to the company amid talks of an AEW exit.

The ongoing investigation into the ‘Brawl Out’ incident is apparently set to end soon, and it is believed that Punk is seeking a buy-out of his contract.

One of the biggest sticking points is apparently the non-compete clause, which could potentially mean that he is looking to work elsewhere in the wrestling industry.

With IMPACT and New Japan likely off the table for financial reasons, many believe that Phil Brooks could be considering a return to WWE.

Booker T on CM Punk WWE Return

Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, WWE NXT commentator Booker T discussed the potential of the former WWE Champion returning to the company.

“There’s always a chance, but I don’t think it’s a big chance that we see CM Punk back in WWE” the NXT commentator began.

“I don’t think Punk wants to go back to WWE. I mean, Punk has made it perfectly clear ever since he’s shown up in AEW, what he feels and what he thinks about WWE and everything in it” Booker concluded.

It remains to be seen what Brooks will do, but it would be a massive moment should he manage to sign a deal with the company.
