WWE RAW Superstar Cody Rhodes is apparently suffering from a legitimate injury ahead of his Hell in a Cell match against Seth Rollins.
According to a new report from POST Wrestling; Rhodes has a torn pectoral muscle and is a doubt for tonight’s Premium Live Event.
“On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that the word going around on Saturday at the house show is that Rhodes sustained a torn pectoral muscle, which was consistent with what we have heard at POST Wrestling” the site revealed.
“It is not known if this will lead to any changes to the match tonight and Rhodes was promoting the match on social media on Sunday.”
Cody Rhodes Injury
This would be an absolutely terrible time for Cody to sustain such an injury. Hopefully, the injury isn’t as bad as expected and he can still perform.
As of writing, there is no word from WWE as to the status of the American Nightmare. We’re expecting to hear more when the HIAC show itself goes live tonight.
If Cody is unable to perform, we’re expecting that WWE will call an audible and put someone else in the ring with Rollins tonight. We’ll have to wait and see.
