WWE United States Champion Theory put his title on the line against Mustafa Ali at the WWE Hell in a Cell Premium Live Event tonight.
The US Champion is one of the top Superstars on the RAW brand right now, with Vince McMahon himself being a major proponent of the former NXT name.
There have been rumours of John Cena potentially returning to the company in the near future for a match with the protege of McMahon.
We’re expecting that match to take place at SummerSlam this year, but that remains to be seen for the United States Champion.
Theory WWE Hell in a Cell 2022
The WWE United States Champion did in fact take the win at the event to retain his title. The US Champ was the betting favourite heading into the match, as mentioned he will be likely facing John Cena very soon.
It’s not known what WWE will be doing with Ali going forward, but it is likely that he will be part of the Men’s Money in the Bank match at the titular PPV event in July.
