Luke Gallows has been away from WWE programming due to an injury, which is why he missed SmackDown last week.
Last night’s episode of SmackDown featured AJ Styles in a prominent storyline. Styles was involved in the opening segment with John Cena, Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso. The team of Cena and Styles announced that they will face The Bloodline members in a tag team match at Fastlane.
The former IWGP World Champion, however, was attacked by The Bloodline members before he could sign the contract for this match in the main event. Styles was taken out in an ambulance after this beatdown. Fans curiously noted that while Karl Anderson was seen in Styles’ side when he was being taken out, Luke Gallows was missing from the show.

Luke Gallows is injured
Fightful Select recently provided an update on Gallows’ status and the potential reason behind his absence from WWE programming. According to them, the SmackDown star is actually dealing with a knee injury:
“Gallows has not wrestled in over one month, last teaming with the OC at a live event in Canada. Fightful was told that Gallows had to get his knee scoped, and would miss about six weeks. However, we don’t know when the knee was scoped, and don’t yet have details on if it’s a six week timetable from then, or from now. We’ll work to find out additional information on that.”
Previously reports have also revealed that LA Knight was originally going to be a part of this storyline as well. The popular star was removed from the show at the last minute.
