A huge Elimination Chamber match is being rumored for the upcoming event in February 2023 during the Road to WrestleMania.
According to a new report/rumor from Xero News, it appears as though the Intercontinental Championship could be defended inside the structure.
“Gunther is likely to defend the Intercontinental Championship inside the Elimination Chamber against Braun Strowman, Ricochet, Santos Escobar, LA Knight & Drew Mcintyre in Montreal” the site claimed on Twitter.

It’s worth noting that this rumor from Xero News is just that, a rumor, as we are unable to verify whether or not the report is legitimate at this time.
This would be a perfect way to not have to have Roman Reigns defending his WWE Unified World Championships inside the Chamber.
Gunther has been a fantastic IC Champ for over 200 days thus far, and a featured slot on the EC Premium Live Event and Braun Strowman, Ricochet, Santos Escobar, LA Knight & Drew Mcintyre would make for a solid match.
We’ll probably have to wait beyond the Royal Rumble to find out whether this will be going ahead, but it certainly makes sense from a booking perspective.
