WWE may be scrapping a major PPV event and moving the gimmick match associated with it to WrestleMania next year.

According to sources, there have been discussions within WWE regarding the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event and scrapping it in 2023.

Money in the Bank was previously a highlight match of WrestleMania in the past, and it may well be making its way back to the biggest event of the year.

Is WWE scrapping the Money in the Bank event?

From what we have discovered, these are just early talks, and there is nothing definitively in place with regard to actually getting rid of the MITB event.

If the company does actually decide to get rid of MITB, then it would be a big shift in terms of the ‘Big 5’ PPV events, as it was being considered as a major show alongside WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, SummerSlam and Survivor Series.

There is a chance that the company decides to keep MITB on the lineup for their Premium Live Events in 2023, although other outlets have been claiming that some big changes are coming.

Could Money in the Bank being scrapped be one of those major changes? We will have to wait and see at this point.
