Sasha Banks recently made her debut for New Japan Pro Wrestling as Mercedes Mone, but will she be heading to AEW?
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that he believes that Mone will not be heading to All Elite.
“She is not in Los Angeles. She is not coming to AEW. I don’t think she wants to make that commitment. Because if she goes to AEW, it’s a long commitment,” Meltzer claimed.
Is Sasha Banks going to AEW?
“I’ve heard denials from AEW people in the match. They knew that it was really screwed,” Meltzer continued, discussing the hype behind the Saraya tag team partner next week, which many believed would be Mercedes.
“That’s why they had to announce somebody this week because they knew it was really screwed because everybody was thinking that it was her and it wasn’t her”, Meltzer concluded.
It’s a very interesting situation, especially considering that Vince McMahon has returned to the WWE Board of Directors, as Banks had a major issue with the former CEO before she left.
We’ll have to wait and see how this plays out, but it’s leaning more towards Banks making her way to the Tony Khan owned company by the day it seems.
