A massive main event is apparently being discussed for WrestleMania 40/Mania XL, at least that appears to be the case according to rumour.
According to a new report/rumour from WRKD Wrestling, the company is discussing the possibility of running with Cody Rhodes vs GUNTHER as one of the main events on the show.
“While it’s still early, discussions have taken place for #WWERaw’s main event for WrestleMania 40 to potentially be Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther. Both superstars have expressed interest in working with each other in the past and are seen as the top face and heel on the Raw roster” the account claimed.

It’s worth noting that these rumours from WRKD Wrestling are just that, rumours, as we are unable to verify whether or not the report is legitimate at this time.
Having The American Nightmare going up against the Austrian goliath that is Gunther would certainly be an epic matchup for the ‘Mania card.
As we previously reported, the company is already discussing the potential of having Roman Reigns vs Solo Sikoa on the show, so having Rhodes vs Gunther would make a solid Night 1 main event, if it does happen that is.
