WWE Backlash 2023 is set to take place tonight from Puerto Rico, and a new rumour indicates that we may be seeing a huge finish.
According to a new report/rumour from Joey Romano on Twitter, the main event will feature a ‘squash match’ between Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar.
“This is a Spoiler for tonight’s Backlash match between @CodyRhodes and @BrockLesnar it looks to be that it will be the main event and the way it goes down tonight’s match is going to be nothing more than a squash match” the writer claimed online.

It’s worth noting that this rumour from Joey Romano is just that, a rumour, as we cannot verify whether the report is legitimate at this time.
IF the company does decide to present the main event as a squash, then that is certainly going to be an interesting way to keep on with the Rhodes storyline.
Although it wasn’t clear, we’re going to guess that Romano is referring to Lesnar squashing Rhodes tonight, which would be a pretty baffling choice.
Still, it’s not like we haven’t seen this from WWE in the past, with Lesnar destroying Cena all the way back at SummerSlam 2014 (nearly a decade ago!).
