WWE Backlash 2023 is now underway, and fans have already stated that the Chief Content Officer and head of creative Triple H should’ve made a change.

Bianca Belair defended her RAW Women’s Championship against IYO SKY in the opening match of the night, and the extremely hot crowd were VERY behind SKY throughout the match.

Ibou of WrestlePurists took to Twitter to say that The Game should’ve called the audible and had SKY win the bout, but Bianca would end up successfully defending.

WWE Backlash 2023 Fan Reaction

Several fans would agree with the sentiment, with one tweeting: “Iyo shoulda won this either way. Time for Bianca to move down the card a bit before this becomes her normal reaction.”

Another fan pointed out that this could’ve been an ideal time to plant the seeds for a Bianca heel turn, tweeting: “Or at least have Belair turn heel and win dirty have Belair get the record and have her drop it to Iyo in the next match (NoC or MITB).”

There was one dissenting voice in the conversation, as a fan noted: “To give the belt to a wrestler who hasn’t gotten a reaction until now. Iyo is getting chants because of Bianca not because she’s over.”
