Royal Rumble 2010 Full Match – WWE RETRO WATCH

Last updated

WWE are currently celebrating ’30 Days of Royal Rumble’ ahead of the annual event on January 31st. The company have released a number of different pieces of content to their YouTube channel honouring the long running 30-Man and 30-Women Rumble match.

One of the matches available on the YouTube channel is the 2010 Royal Rumble. This match would end up being quite poignant, as Edge made his return to television during the match at number 29 following an Achilles tendon injury that put him on the shelf around 8 months prior.

Fast forward an entire decade to the 2020 Rumble and Edge once again made his return from a career-threatening, at one point ending, injury.

One of the other wrinkles in this match saw Shawn Michaels desperate to win and face The Undertaker at WrestleMania 26. ‘Taker had defeated Michaels at WrestleMania 25 and refused to face Michaels again; however with Undertaker being the World Heavyweight Champion, Michaels knew if he won the Rumble he would get his shot at redemption.
