WWE Superstar Sonya Deville has returned to WWE programming. Deville appeared on the January 1st episode of SmackDown, showing up in a backstage segment.
Sonya Deville has been away from WWE television since losing to Mandy Rose at SummerSlam 2020. Deville lost the No Disqualification Loser Leaves WWE match and has not been seen until last night’s SmackDown on FOX.
That was the storyline reasoning for Deville leaving WWE, however the real life reasoning is far different. Back in August 2020, a South Carolina man was arrested and charged with aggravated stalking, armed burglary of a dwelling, criminal mischief and attempted armed kidnapping. This occurred at Deville’s house in Lutz, Florida, with the man supposedly being a long time stalker of Deville.
Since then Deville has understandably taken time off from WWE, leaving the limelight. Deville would later granted a temporary injunction against ‘stalking violence,’ and hopefully now she can return to WWE programming and continue her career.
Deville later reacted to her return on Twitter, simply writing ‘Daddy’s Home.’
