All Elite Wrestling Champion Jon Moxley has re-signed for the company for another 5 years, but there was a stunning revelation about his status.

According to a new report from PWInsider, Moxley signed his new deal around the AEW ALL OUT PPV event, but before that, he was apparently working on a handshake deal.

“The deal was actually signed right around the All Out PPV as the word was making the rounds that week but we were unable to confirm it with multiple sources at the time” PWI began.

“We are told that at one point, Moxley’s deal actually expired and he worked on a handshake agreement until they finalized the new deal but there was never any concern internally that he might be looking to go elsewhere” it was claimed.

It’s a big coup for the company to sign Moxley on for a further five years until 2027, especially with the turmoil in the company right now.

There are a number of stars who want to leave and make their way back to WWE, and with the ‘Brawl Out’ issues still in the limelight, this is a good bit of news for All Elite.

Jon Moxley is set to defend his AEW Championship against Hangman Page on the upcoming Tuesday Night episode of AEW Dynamite that goes head-to-head with NXT.
