The AEW Women’s Division has recently been the subject of much discussion and controversy over the last few days online.

Independent wrestler LuFisto has hinted at significant issues within the division, primarily due to the way talent is booked.

This has sparked a wave of criticism among fans, who have noted a lack of women’s matches on television.

LuFisto’s social media posts suggest that the problems run deeper than just booking issues. She points to a power struggle among the talent, with some wrestlers wielding too much influence.

This imbalance has reportedly led to a toxic environment where talent denigrates each other and potential new hires are disparaged even before they step foot in the ring.

Fan Reactions and Backstage Frustration

The fans’ dissatisfaction was evident when a sign criticizing the division’s management was shown on screen during a match between Britt Baker and Taya Valkyrie on AEW Dynamite this week.

However, the frustration isn’t limited to the fans. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, during a Q&A session, revealed that many backstage are as frustrated as the fans with the booking.

Some of the women wrestlers are reportedly discontented with the current state of affairs, while others have adopted a resigned ‘why bother’ attitude.
